Summer in Myrtle Beach
Is there a greater place to spend the summer than Myrtle Beach? We certainly cannot think of a better place. One of the reasons we continue building high-quality homes in northeastern South Carolina is because people continue to find that our area is a great place to spend summer among other seasons. In fact, Myrtle Beach recently cracked the top ten of a comprehensive list of the best small cities in America that included the likes of Asheville, NC, Reno, NV, Anchorage, AK, and Boulder, CO. They said this about what makes Myrtle Beach excellent:
“Last year, 19 million visitors climbed aboard 50 direct flights from around the country to frolic in calm waters, see the Ripley’s Aquarium and then go for a medieval dinner. After that, there’s the 1.2-mile-long Oceanfront Boardwalk and Promenade, perfect for walking off the feast. With so much to see and do, it’s no wonder that the city tops our Attractions subcategory for small cities.”
If you are looking for a city in which to spend your summers, look no further than the white sand beaches of Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach.
What Makes Myrtle Beach the Best Summer City?
Considering nearby Columbia and interior South Carolina, you would think it would be oppressively hot during the summer; however, the average temperature in June and July is a reasonable mid-80’s and there is almost always a comforting breeze.
The pristine white-sand beaches of northeastern South Carolina are what originally drew attention to the area. Unlike some beach cities, there is plenty of space and sand to accommodate residents and visitors.
